Welcome Home Malia

We were greeted at the airport by friends and family. We want to thank them all for being there!!! There's also a picture of big brother Alex paying special attention to Malia. They have been bonding so well and making everything that much easier for Malia's adjustment home!

Timeline - things are happening now!

LID 3/4/2008 NSN (non-special needs) That's our Log-In-Date, when the Chinese Consulate received our dossier.

We filed our application for a Waiting Child 1/10/2011. That means we can access the list of children considered to have a special need.

LOI 3/27/2011 SN (special needs): That's the date we sent in our Letter of Intent for Malia. She is beautiful!

PA 3/31/2011: That's our Pre-Approval date. Woohoo!

LSC 4/11/2011: Letter Seeking Confirmation which is the Formal Approval. It's OFFICIAL!!

Our signed LSC was mailed to China on 4/15/2011 and delivered to the CCCWA on Monday, 4/18/2011. Then the CCCWA (China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption) begins working with Malia's Provincial Civil Affairs office to issue our Travel Approval (TA).

TA 5/10/2011: China has granted the Travel Approval

CA given on 5/17/2011 for appointment on 6/8/2011: Congratulations! The American Consulate has confirmed your appointment for June 8th @ 8:30am

5/25/2011 Leave for China

5/30/2011 Gotcha Malia!

8/5/2011 Malia's first birthday! Big celebration!

9/9/2011 Malia's cleft lip surgery

12/21/2011 Malia's cleft palate surgery
