Playground

These are random pictures I took of Alex at the playground.

Frances' visition

Alex's great grandmother "GG" just passed away. Her service was in McGregor. The whole town filled up the biggest church to say goodbye. She was carried out in her casket with Willie Nelson singing "On the Road Again" (cd - version). The pictures are from her visitation that day before the service. Alex and his cousins and a rainbow.

Still two years away (Our Log-in-Date is 3/4/2008)

There were a lot of spikes in the amount of dossiers The China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) received. We have to wait to get through two major spikes, and then the timeline should speed up considerably. One spike was November 2005-March 2006 and we just got through that. The next spike is March 2007-April 2007. In April 2007, the rules and regulations changed and got much stricter, so many people got their dossiers in before the change. After we get through placements for dossiers logged in April 2007, it's a whole new ballgame! We are not quitting. We came to play!

Watching the Round Rock Express at the Dell Diamond

Alex had a blast with his best pals, Matthew and Brooke. Brooke got to march around the field with girl scouts from all over Austin. They all enjoyed pretzels, popcorn, lemonade, sprite, hot dogs, bounce houses, playgrounds, and just plain dancing when the music came on. What a night!

Email from our adoption agency

If only our LID was March 16, 2006 and not March 4, 2008.

Hello Great Wall Families!

The stork has landed at Great Wall! Today we received referrals for families whose dossiers were logged in on March 16, 2006 and for a few of our expedited families.

Right now, we are working as quickly as we can to bring these families their referral! We ask for your patience as our response time to your phone calls and emails may be a little delayed. We thank ALL of you for your continued patience and support!

Sincerely,

Great Wall China Adoption
