A few wedding pictures

Here are a few wedding pictures from Kate & Don's wedding. Kate is my sister. I'm the Matron of Honor. Marc is a Groomsman. Nick, my twin brother, is the best man. Alex, our son, and Gerrick are ring bearers. Brooke, my best friend's (Allyson) daughter, is the flower girl. I can't wait to post more pictures of Alex in his little tux. I'm waiting for people to send them =) The wedding was beautiful. It was at Vintage Villas with vistas of Lake Travis in the background. It rained after the wedding while we were all inside for the reception. Then rain left some double rainbows. Really spectacular.

Paperwork DONE...AGAIN!

Our adoption social worker came over yesterday, had a tour of the house, and collected all our paperwork:

-Letters for both of us signed by our physician stating that we are "healthy and free of communicable disease". The letter also includes our height and weight.
-Updated employment letters
-3-4 pictures of the outside of our home
-A sketch of the floor plan of our home including approximate dimensions of each room

To complete the I-171H/I-797C form, we are also submitting:
-photocopies of a photo id for yourself and your spouse
-photocopies of yours and your spouses birth certificates
-photocopy of your marriage certificate (if applicable)
-photocopies of any divorce decrees (if applicable)
-a photocopy of your current I-171H/I-797C
-a letter requesting the free extension and fingerprinting appointment. You will find a sample form letter for this request attached with this email. This will mean another trip to San Antonio to have our fingerprints scanned again. Why do they need "fresh" fingerprints? I don't know.
- a written statement, signed under penalty, attesting that a form I-600 has not been filed on this I-600a application. You will find a sample form letter for this statement attached with this email

Still two years away (Our Log-in-Date is 3/4/2008)

Hello Great Wall Families!

The stork has landed at Great Wall! Yesterday, May 21, 2009, we received referrals for families whose dossiers were logged in on March 10, 2006.

Congratulations to these families!

Right now, we are working as quickly as we can to bring these families their referral! Our Referral Team asks for your patience as our response time to your phone calls and emails may be a little delayed.

We thank ALL of you for your continued patience and support!

Sincerely,

Great Wall China Adoption
