Red Thread

The reference to the red thread or the invisible red thread comes up often in Chinese adoption. Here is the meaning:
An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. ~An Ancient Chinese belief

Thanks for clarifying what all of this means.

Malia,
Gem'a and G-Dad are anxiously awaiting your arrival. Right now we are playing with your big brother, Alex, who is visiting us in College Station for the weekend. We look forward to your visits too! Today we fed the ducks and visited the cows near our house and went to Gattitown. Yesterday we went to an Easter Egg Hunt and to see the movie "Horton Hears a Who." It'll be great fun when you are here with us too! Since we have two sons and one grandson it'll be quite a treat to have a precious girl in the family. We are already loving you.
Hurry to Texas!
Gem'a

Hi Malia--Bapa (as Alex calls Grandpa) and I are anxiously awaiting your arrival. We have started a hope chest--filling it with things just for girls. Alex visits every Friday for lunch--and we can't wait for you to be joining us. I hope you will like trains as Alex just loves them and we have lots and lots of toy trains around. Love, Bapa and Grandma
